I maintain an interest in all vegetable crops, especially minor and specialty types. I work on maintaining genetic diversity in food crops through preservation of heirloom and other open-pollinated varieties. I am involved in the rebirth of herbs as an area of interest, gathering as much information as becomes available as this group of plants explodes in popularity.
